I LOVE to Read!

The following books have completely changed the way I see the world and my own abilities. If you are looking to expand your mind or in need of some courage to go after what you really want, I highly recommend these books.

1. Finding Your North Star by Martha Beck

This book changed my life. I keep it on my nightstand and refer to it whenever I am feeling lost. If you have absolutely no idea what you want to do in life or where to start, start here. It’s like having a personal life coach.

2. A Little Million Ways by Emily P. Freeman

If you think you have no gifts; if you think your idea is stupid; if you think your voice doesn’t matter, think again. Freeman will redefine the way you understand art and prove to you why you’re an artist and why the world needs to see your work. Freeman writes from a Christian’s point of view, but in my opinion, anyone of any religion or no religion will find her writing captivating.

3. Be A Free Range Human by Marianne Cantwell

4. Joseph Kauffman

I first discovered Kauffman through his Instagram page, “Concious_Collective.” If you’re interested in learning about spirituality at all or learning how to not let your emotions (such as fear) control you so much, I highly recommend all of Kauffman’s books. They’re easy to read and they’ll make you think for days.

5. The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho

To be honest, when I first read this book, I didn’t really get it. Then a few years later when I read it again, it made so much more sense to me. Sometimes, we have to be at a certain stage in life to understand a book.

6. The War of Art by Steven Pressfield

Do you want to draw, create or write but you stop yourself because of all these questions about whether you’re good enough or whether it’s worth it? If so, this is a must-read. Steven Pressfield talks about why art is always met with resistance and how to beat it.

7. The Subtle Art of Not Giving A F*ck by Mark Manson

Because you really shouldn’t.
